SCC is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, approved by the Louisiana State Board of Elementary and Secondary Schools, and affiliated with the National Catholic Educational Association.
How many students attend SCC and what are class sizes like?
Last year approximately 440 students were enrolled at SCC. Class sizes range from 25 to 30 students and the pupil to teacher ratio is 12 to 1. The administration and staff consists of 33 lay men and women as well as a school chaplain.
Is the an extra fee for the laptop computer?
The fee for the laptop computer your child will receive is included in your tuition price.
How is religion incorporated into the curriculum and total high school experience at SCC?
Daily religion classes and prayer in all classes encourage the spiritual development of students at SCC. Masses and liturgical services are held periodically in the chapel with school-wide celebrations occurring at least once a month. Additionally, students participate in living rosaries, living Way of the Cross, and class retreats as part of their religious instruction. SCC also includes a religious essay question on each nine weeks exam in all areas of study.
What can SCC offer my student academically?
The academic development of the student is accomplished through three programs of study – honor’s, academic and standard. In the last five years more than 70 percent of SCC graduates have earned college scholarships and awards. SCC’s above average composite ACT score ranks above both the state and national averages. All students are afforded a college preparatory course of study that qualifies them for the TOPS program.

Athletically SCC offers all of the major sports including football, basketball, baseball, soccer, softball, volleyball, tennis, track, swimming, and cross country. SCC has a cheerleading squad and a dance team as well as a team called the
Additionally SCC offers many clubs and organizations for students to become involved in including French Club, Spanish Club, FCA, Pro-Life Club, Student Council, Library Club and many more.
More than 85 percent of the student body is involved in extra curricular activities.
