2004 Homecoming Court

Scott Babin graduated from SCC in 1999. Scott was a three-year letterman in football and a two year starter at linebacker. After graduation, Scott attended Louisiana Technical College and trained in instrumentation. He is currently employed by EFFI as a technician. Scott escorted junior Bridget Boe.

Larry Bleakley is a member of the Class of 1984. He and his wife Stephanie (84) currently reside in Ponchatoula with their four boys. At SCC, Larry was a four sport letterman. He was an all district selection in football and basketball. After graduation, Larry attended the University of Louisiana-Lafayette and earned a degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance. He is employed by Shell Chemical in Norco . Larry’s fondest high school memory is the answer to a great trivia question. He was the first person to throw a touchdown pass in what is now Dupuy Stadium. Larry escorted sophomore Christie Brady.

Matt Fisse is a member of the Class of 2000. He is a junior at Southeastern Louisiana University pursuing a degree in criminal justice. While at SCC, Matt was a participant in football and baseball. He recently returned from a 10 month tour in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and is still serving in the National Guard. Matt has traveled through parts of Europe including Germany , London , Scotland , and Ireland .Matt’s fondest high school memory was simply stated- Coach Monica. Matt escorted senior Diana Fisse.

John Guillot is a member of St. Charles Borromeo’s class of 1975. He is married to another comet, the former Donna Johnson, a member of the class of 74. The Guillot’s have two children; Mary is a 2000 graduate of SCC and is currently pursuing her masters degree in Speech Therapy at LSU. Their younger daughter Jeanne is attending River Parishes Community College pursuing a degree in education. John served 3 years in the United States Marine Corps after graduation. He is currently an Operations Foreman for Shell Chemical where he has been employed for 25 years. John escorted junior Carly Duhe.

Todd Keating graduated from SCC in 1984. He is married to a classmate, the former Lori Guidry. The Keating’s reside in LaPlace with their 3 children, Jared, Meredith, and Olivia. While at SCC, Todd was a two-sport standout, earning all district honors in baseball and football. After graduation, Todd earned a degree in accounting from Southeastern Louisiana University . He is currently employed as an accounting supervisor by Nalco Chemical. His fondest high school memories are meeting his wife, Lori and playing football and baseball. Todd escorted senior Amber Brady.


								

James Matherne is a 1989 graduate of SCC. He and his wife, Valerie reside in LaPlace. Following graduation from SCC, James earned two undergraduate degrees from LSU. He then entered the Loyola School of Law, where he earned the degree of Juris Doctor. He is currently practicing law with with the firm of Duncan, Courington & Rydberg in New Orleans. Nearly 17 years ago to the day, James broke his neck in three places on the SCC football field. James shared these thoughts,” I was blessed to be able to walk away from the injury which inspired me to channel my enthusiasm for football to academic pursuits. My fondest high school memory is of the faculty at SCC.  While their message was not received very well by me at the time;  the educational guidance andmoral discipline they provided prepared me to succeed in college, graduate school and in my current profession.” James escorted senior Paige Braud.

James Ordeneaux graduated from St. Charles Catholic in 1995. While at SCC, James was a three sport letterman and was chosen all district and all state in football. After graduation, James attended Tulane University on a football scholarship. He graduated from Tulane in 1999 with a degree in History and Political Science. He then went on to LSU law school and graduated in 2003. He is currently an associate, the youngest ever of the firm Plauche , Maselli, Landry, and Parkerson. James serves as Prsident of the T club, Tulanes student-athlete Alumni Club and sits on the board of the Tulane Alumni Association. When asked to pick his fondest high school memory, James admitted it was difficult to pick one, but settled on the last second field-goal to beat Lutcher in 1992. James escorted senior Angelle Cupit.

Craig Ourso is a member of the class of 1986. Craig married his high school sweetheart Missie Monica Ourso, also a 1986 grad. They have been married for 14 years and reside in Baton Rouge with their children Adrienne and Lance. After graduating from SCC, Craig attended LSU where he earned a chemical engineering degree. He is currently a Chemical Engineer for BP Castrol. Craig’s fondest memory from high school was defeating John Curtis for the District Championship in baseball in 1983.  Craig escorted sophomore Whitney Bowen.

Robert Palmisano is a member of the class of 1983. He and his wife Michelle reside in LaPlace with their 3 children Ryan, Lane and Kate. His mother, Rose Marie Gendusa Palmisano graduated from St. Charles Borromeo in 1961, and her sister, Frances Gendusa Massa was introduced earlier as member of the Homecoming Court of 1954. While at SCC, Robert participated in football, baseball, and golf and was a member of the Beta Club. After high school, Robert attended LSU and UNO and earned his degree in Finance. He has been an insurance agent for Farm Bureau Insurance in LaPlace for the past 12 years. His fondest high school memory was winning the 1983 district championship in baseball as the Comets defeated John Curtis. He also made special mention of Mr. Bryan Kenner his golf coach and math teacher. Robert escorted eighth grader Courtney Millet.

John Price is a member of the class of 1999. While at SCC, John excelled in three sports and was chosen all-district, all-state and all river parishes numerous times in all three sports. In his senior year, John was named Mr. Comet, SCC’s highest athletic achievement. Following high school, John attended Nicholls State University on a football scholarship. He was an all conference selection as a wide receiver as a sophomore. He transferred to the University of Mobile to pursue a career in baseball. In May of 2004, john was selected by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the Major League Baseball draft. He is currently preparing for spring training in St. Petersburg , Florida . John’s fondest high school memory was playing in the State Championship game in baseball in 1998. John escorted senior Jeanne Coleman.

Robert Ramsey graduated from St. Charles Borromeo High School in 1975. He is married to another member of the class of 75, Beth Alleman Ramsey. They have two children, Bobby and Wesley. Robert is currently President of Ramsey’s Diamond Jewlers in Metairie . Robert was chosen Mr. SCB as a senior. His fondest high school memory was “meeting an astonishing girl from Norco .” This past August Robert and Beth celebrated 29 years of marriage, Congratulations! Robert escorted senior Christine Metcalf who was named the 2004 Homecoming Queen.

Keith Tassin was a member of the first graduating class from the LaPlace campus in 1979. He currently resides in LaPlace . He has two daughters, Abby who attends St. Joan of Arc and Sarah who is a freshman at SCC and a member of the Sparks . Keith’s stepdaughters are Elena who currently attends Our Lady of Holy Crosss College and Erica, a 2004 SCC graduate who attends Loyola of New Orleans. Keith represents the 2nd of three generations of St.Charles students- both parents and children have attended or are currently enrolled at SCC. While at SCC, Keith was a 3 year letterman in basketball . After high school, Keith attended the University of New Orleans and earned a degree in Electrical Engineering.  He is currently employed by Lockheed Martin as a Staff Engineer for the Space Shuttle External Tank Program. Keith escorted freshman Jade Hall.

Eric Torres is a member of the Class of 1975. He and his wife, the former Jo Ann Borden, reside in LaPlace with their 5 children. Devin graduated from SCC in 1999 and is a graduate of Loyola of New Orleans. Whitney finished SCC in 2001 and is currently attending Loyola. Alexandra graduated in 2004 and is attending LSU; Lindsay is a senior at SCC this year, and Caroline attends Ascension of Our Lord. Eric is employed by Marathon-Ashland and is the Supervisor of the Operations Department. Eric’s fondest high school memory was a quote from Mr. Joe Ryan who said in frustration, “math is simple, it won’t change, 9x3 will always be 27! I think?!” Eric escorted freshman Dara Brady.
