Comets end magical season in Superdome

The Comets' exciting football season came to an end in the Louisiana Superdome Friday night. In the 2A state championship game the Comets were defeated by national power John Curtis 41-7. Despite falling short in the state title game, this year's team set many records and provided lots of exciting memories for Comet students and fans. The Comets ended the season with a 12-3 record. The Comet senior football players who played for four years were a part of 41 wins and including 10 playoff wins the past three years. Both are school records. The Comets reached the state championship game two years in a row for the first time in school history. Congratulations to all Comet football players and coaches for bringing Comet football to an unprecedented level of success.
