Comets fall to Bulldogs in district

The Comets opened district with a tough loss. In the 1st inning the Comets came out on top. Alex Marse led the game off with a base hit. That would bring up Corey Reed who would hit a two-run home run the first pitch. Brandon Becker then reached first on a wild pitch after he struck out. Becker would steal second and score on a throwing error. Going into the 3rd the Comets were up 3-0. The boys would make it 4-0 when Corey Reed hit a solo home run, his second home run of the game. The Bulldogs would take the lead scoring 6 runs in the 4th with five hits. In the bottom of the 4th Jordan Millet would lead the inning with a base hit. Millet stole second and scored on D.J. Wesley's doulbe to left. That would make that Comets down 6-5. Lutcher would score one more in the 5th. Comets fought back but couldn't finish the job. The final score would be 7-5.
