The Comets had a tough weekend coming out with a tournament record of 2-2. The Comets defeated Newman and Byrd. They lost to Belle Chase and Rummel.The Comets first game was a tough loss to Belle Chase. The Comets scored two in the second inning when Jonathan Cancienne drove in Brandon Becker. Cancienne would reach second on a balk and third on a stolen base. Nick Riene would hit a sacrafice fly to right field to score Cancienne. Jared Keating walk two straight in the 3rd and they would both later score. In the top of the 4th Jordan Millet got on by a base hit. He would steal second and score on Jonathan Cancienne double to center. The Comets were up 3-2 going into the top of the 7th. In the 7th, Nick Reine walked and stole second. D.J. Wesley would get a base hit to left center and score Nick Reine. D.J. Wesley would score when the right fielder dropped Matt Murphy's pop fly. The Comets were up 5-2 goin into the bottom of the 7th. The Comets had one out to go in the bottom of the 7th.

After a tough loss against the Cardinals, the Comets went on to defeat Newman. The Comets started off strong. Alex Marse started off the game with a double to right center, and reached third on a wild pitch. Corey Reed would drive in Alex Marse with a ground ball to third base. Marc Picciola would continue the rally with a base hit. Jordan Millet would reach first on a drag bunt and bring up Jonathan Cancienne. Cancienne would drive in Millet and Picciola with a double to left field. Newman would get back one run in the 2nd to make it 4-1. The Comets would make it 5-1 in the 3rd when Alex Marse hit another double and Corey Reed would drive him in on a ground ball to the short-stop. The Comets would have a huge inning in the 3rd scoring five runs to make it 10-1. Brandon Becker would reach first on a base hit and Cancienne would walk. That would bring up Nick Reine to hit a three-run home run. D.J. Wesly and Matt Bonnacarre would both walk. Wesly and Bonnacarre would score on Corey Reed's base hit. The final score would be 12-4.
