Comets 15 Plaquemine 5

The Comets came away with their third district win Saturday April 5. The Comets defeated the Green Devils 15-5. The Comets scored their first run in the 1st when Brandon Becker hit a sacrafice fly to score Corey Reed after he reached second on a double. Nick Reine led off the 2nd inning with a walk. D.J. Wesley would then hit a double to left field. Corey Reed would then score Wesley on a base hit to left. In the third Brandon Becker started the inning off with a home run. Jonathan Cancienne would then reach first on a base hit and score on Nick Reine's base hit to left. D.J. Wesley would get hit the next at bat and Matt Bonnacarre would walk. Alex Marse would drive them in, and Corey Reed would hit a home run. Going into the 6th the Comets were up 9-5. The Comets would finish off the Green Devils in the 6th. Cancienne started the inning off with a base hit. Jordan Millet would reach first by a hit by pitch. Nick Reine reached first on a fielder's choice. Cancienne would score and Wesley would reach first on an error. Bonnacarre would then walk. Corey read also reached first on a walk. Marc Picciola would drive in two run with his double to right-center. The Comets ten-run ruled the Green Devils 15-5.
