Comets 7 Port Allen 0

The Comets defeated the Pelicans Monday 7-0. They scored their first run in the 2nd inning. Brandon Becker led the inning off with a drage bunt for a base hit. The Pelicans attempted to pick off Becker and threw it away. Becker then reached third on wild pitch. Jordan Millet would drive in Becker with a ground ball to shortstop. In the 3rd Matt Bonnecarre reached first on a base hit to left. Alex Marse then reached first on a fielder's choice and stole second. Corey Reed drove in Marse with a base up the middle. Marc Picciola would hit a double and move Reed to third. Brandon Becker would drive a long fly ball to right field but it was cought. In the 4th inning Jonathan Cancienne started the inning off with a walk. Cancienne then stole second and third. That would bring up Jordan Millet who scored Cancienne on a double to right field. In the 5th Brady Hitt led off the inning with a double to right field. Hitt then reached third on a passed ball. Alex Marse would score Hitt with a sacrafice fly to right field. In the 6th Becker led the inning off with a walk. Becker advanced to second from a ground ball hit by Cancienne, and advanced to third by a ground ball by Millet. Nicke Reine would then walk. The courtesy runner, Grant Authement would trap steal and score Becker. In the 7th Alex Marse reached first on a error. Marse would streal second and third. Corey Reed would score Marse on a base hit to left field. Picciola scored Corey Reed with an infiled base hit and that would be the last of the runs. Marc Picciola was the winning pitcher and Donovan Duffy would get the save.
