The Comets played hard Tuesday night against the West St. John Rams in the Comet Gym. Unfortunately, the Comets came up a little short in overtime. The final score was 70-65. Leading the Comets in scoring were junior Demarcus Bernard with 19 points and senior Vincent Rollo with 15 points.

Last week the Comets defeated Belle Chasse 64-30. Demarcus Bernard led all scorers with 24 points. The Comets participated in the St. Martin tournament over the Christmas holidays. The Comets defeated John Curtis 60-56 and lost to Newman 62-46.

The Comets will participate in the Hall of Fame Classic Saturday at Riverside playing Hammond at 12 noon. This will be the last pre-district game. Next Tuesday the Comets start district facing Lutcher in Lutcher. The Comets overall record is now 13-12.
