Comet Golf team wins Region III tournament

The Comet golf team won the Divsion III, Region III golf tournament Monday, April 21, at Riverlands Golf and Country Club in Laplace. All five Comet golfers qualified as medalists and will compete in the 3A state tournament Monday and Tuesday at the Atchfalaya golf course in Patterson. The Comets were led by T.J. Landry (88), Ryan Forsythe (89), Pierre St. Martin (92), Beau Schexnayder (94), and Matt Autin (96). Members of the varsity also include Ryan St. Pierre, Kyle Vicknair, and Gabe Delatte. The Comets shot a 363 overall and defeated Brusly, DeLaSalle, Lutcher and Loranger.
