Alexandria, LA - After allowing unearned runs in the first and third innings, SCC rallied back from a 3-0 deficit to defeat Holy Savior Menard 4-3 in Game 1 of a double header in Alexandria. Mary Clement and Felicia Taylor led the way for SCC at the plate. Clement was 2 for 4 with a double and 2 RBI. Taylor went 3 for 4 with a run batted in. Trailing 3-0 entering the top of the fourth, a lead off double by Bridget Millet set the table for Clement's RBI single to cut the lead to 2. Taylor drove in courtesy runner Missy Paulina to make it 3-2. Lauren Coniglio doubled to score courtesy runner Katie Tregre to tie it up at 3. Menard went up and down in order in the bottom of the fourth, and saw SCC take the lead in the top of the 5th. Paige Braud singled to start the frame and scored on Clement's double to right. The Comets left runners at the corners in the fifth, but they claimed the lead that they'd never relinquish. Only one Lady Eagle batter would reach base the rest of the way, harmless one out looping single to left. SCC claimed its first win of the season with the 4-3 win.

In Game 2, Menard turned the tables on SCC. St. Charles owned the 3-1 lead through 6 1/2 innings. But a seventh inning rally saw last year's Class AAA runners-up score three runs to take a 4-3 win and earn a split of the double header. Once again, Taylor had multiple hits for the Comets with a 2 for 4 outing. Kayla Rebaldo went 3 for 3 on the afternoon as well.
