Reserve, LA - SCC left 8 runners on base, 7 of which were in scoring position, as the Comets fell to the Riverisde Academy Lady Rebels 5-4 at Lady Rebel Field in Reserve. Bridget Millet, Felicia Taylor, and Addy Reine each had two hits for SCC. Taylor aslo knocked in a pair of runs. St. Charles scored first in the top of first to take a 1-0 lead. The lead was short lived as Riverside scored a pair of runs in the bottom half of the first frame to take a 2-1 lead. The game stayed a 1 run affair with SCC leaving runners at third base in each of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th innings. Those missed opportunities would come back to haunt the Comets in the bottom of the 5th when Riverside drove in three to take a 5-1 lead. After scoring two runs to start the top of the last, SCC would strand the tying run at second base on back to back strike outs.
