In the second, a lead off error and a SAC bunt gave EDW life, but a strike out and a ground out to second ended the rally. In the third, things were got a little diecey. Comet right fielder Bridget Millet made a grass top catch of the fly ball to end the inning and squash the uprising. In the top of the fifth the Lady Comets scored 6 to take a 10-0 lead. After allowing a lead off walk, Clement coaxed a pop out on a bunt attempt, a 1-3 ground out, and a soft liner back to herself to close out the vicotry. The Comets moved to 3-7-1 and 2-0 in 10AAA. |
