St. Amant Tourney

The Lady Comets participated in the tough St. Amant tourney on February 29th through March 1st. One game was played on Friday and two on Saturday. All the games were close, but the Comets came up short in two. In the first game they played 4-A powerhouse, Belle Chasse, losing 4-2. Trosclair, Tregre, and Western all went 2-3 on the game. In the next game the girls defeated the defending 4-A champions, St. Thomas More Cougars, 5-0. Trosclair led the Comets, striking out 8 Cougars. The last game was against the Mt. Carmel Cubs where the Comets lost 3-0. Coniglio went 1-2 with a triple and a walk to give the Comets some life. Overall the girls did good against these powerhouse softball teams. The girls now look to play Assumption on Monday, March 3rd.
