Comets win three games in jamboree
The Comet volleyball team opened the season by participating in a jamboree at Lutcher Wednesday night. The Comets played Dutchtown, Reserve Christian, and East St John. In the first game against Dutchtown the Comets defeated Dutchtown 25-20. Junior Meg Gustafson led the Comets with 6 digs and 8 kills. Courtney Western had 8 digs and 19 assists.
In the second game the Comets easily defeated the Reserve Christian Eagles 25-4. In the final game the Comets defeated East St John 25-16. The Comets will open the regular season at home Thursday September 4, hosting the John Curtis Patriots. The JV game will start at 4:00 followed by the varsity.
