The Art Club participated in a Glass workshop in New Orleans on Thursday, March 26. Students learned about the trade of glassmaking. They each had an opportunity to make their very own glass beads. They learned that glass is used for various things like fiber optic cables, and being a conductor of electricity. "I had fun making my very own glass bead for the first time. It was also a good experience to watch the people at work making beautiful creations," said Silvia Suazo. After they went to the workshop they had lunch at the Esplanade Mall. "The mall was fun because we got to unwind and just chill," said Amy Zhou.
