National Honor Society Induction

The National Honor Society had its first induction ceremony on Sunday, March 1, 2009. The induction had both students and parents attend. The ceremony started off with speeches from Mrs. Lohfink and the officers, James parker, President; Jessica Estorino, Vice President; Kimi Landry, Secretary; and Kristine Brouwer, Treasurer. The officers lit candles and talked about the four things that a member should achieve. James gave a moving speech about hard work and what the club was all about. After the speeches the officers presented pins to each of the members. New members were introduced. At the end of the ceremony there was a social where everyone could eat and gossip with friends. Each member had to bring a dish to serve. They had various foods such as Raising Canes chicken, spinach leaf and apple slice salad, meatballs, chicken fetticcini, brownies, cupcakes, and fruit and vegetable platters. Many members enjoyed themselves during the social.
