FCA "Run for the Son" Race Results
The 7th annual FCA “Run for the Son” was held Saturday March 31, 2007  at St. Charles Catholic High School .  A cool but humid morning greeted a race record  225 participants. A strong southeast wind made it difficult for the runners on the final leg of the 5K race.

Despite the conditions a new race record was set in the male division of the 5K race. Chad Callais of Lafayette, Louisiana set a new race record with an amazing time of 16:40 erasing the previous record of 18:42 set in 2005. Kelley Carambat of LaPlace won the 5K race to become the first three-peat champion in the seven year history of the Run for the Son. Carambat was unable to eclipse her own record of 22:01 set in the 2006 race.

The most hotly contested race was the battle in the male division of the one mile run between two St. Charles Catholic students - senior Chris Boesen and sophomore Chris Graugnard. Boesen edged Graugnard at the finish line to claim first place. His time of 5:25 fell short of the race record of 5:18 set by Robert Dehoyas in 2006. Dehoyas, a student at East St. John finished a close third behind Boesen and Graugnard.

The top ten female runners in the 5k race were  Kelley Carambat (23:06), Elke Dandridge (25:40), Victoria Young (25:56), Theresa Fisse (30:18), Courtney Guidry (30:19), Cheri Williams (30:53), Jennifer Norris,(31:49) , Erika Montz (31:52), Jennifer Harris (32:00), and Abbi Bergeron (33:52).
