Comets pound Tigers 56-6;
face E. D. White at home

The Comets extended their win streak to three and remained undefeated in district10-3A with a 56-6 win over the Donaldsonville Tigers Friday night on the road. The win sets the stage for the final two games of the regular season starting with E. D. White at home Friday and tLutcher on the road in two weeks. The Comets need to win out to have a high seeding in the playoffs.

Tyrell Fenroy continued to show why he is one of the best running backs in the state with a 171 yard performance on only 10 carries. He scored 3 times on runs of 71, 6 and 5 yards playing only about half of the game. Fenroy has now rushed for 1364 yards and 30 touchdowns this season.

Casey Robottom had three touchdowns two on pass receptions of 17 and 36 yards and one a 47 yard punt return. Quarterback Jesse Martin completed 5 of 8 passes for 104 yards and three touchdowns. Jarvis Sanders rushed for 49 yards on just 6 carries.

The Comet defense was stingy once again allowing only one touchdown, the first one given up in the last three games. The score came late in the third quarter with many Comet starters already out of the game.
