The Comets come up with big victory to claim the district 9-3A title. After the 49-7 win over Plaquemine, the Comets are now 8-1 overall and 4-0 in district.

The Comets offense was very explosive both through the air and on the ground. Running backs Stafford Jones and Courtland Taylor both ran very hard and combined for 205 yards and 3 touchdowns. Henri'Faucheux passed for 109 yards and hit two receivers for touchdowns. Zack Goodwin and Tyler Roussel both caught a touchdown pass.

The Comets defense played relentless and the Green Devils didn't have an answer. Justin Vicknair intercepted a pass and ran it back for a 41 yard touchdown. Nick Reine lead the Comet defense by making nine tackles against the Green Devils and one of them was for a loss.

The playoffs are about to get underway this week The Comets are the number 4 seed in 3A and will host the Rayne Wolves next Friday in Laplace at 7:00.
