Fenroy sets records at Louisiana-Lafayette
When the Comets take the field on Friday nights, you can always feel the players' emotions because for most athletes in high school this is the end of the road. But one former Comet running back, who once was one of the state’s top players, is now outrunning the nation’s top athletes at the college level. Tyrell Fenroy, who set many records at SCC, is rewriting the record books almost every time he plays a game.

With 3 games left to play Fenroy in his career Fenroy already holds the Sun Belt conference record for most rushing yards in a career. On Saturday November 1, against Florida International Fenory became only the 7th player in NCAA history to rush for over a 1,000 yards in each season of his 4 year career.
Fenroy was honored on the sports show ESPN "Gameday Final" for his performance against the University of Louisiana-Monroe. Rece Davis, an announcer on the show, awarded him a “helmet sticker” which is a high honor that only eight players receive each week. Fenroy is a nominee and semi-finalist for the prestigious Doak Walker Award for the nation's top running back. He is also being mentioned as a candidate for the most prominent award in all of college football, the Heisman Trophy.
