September 28, 2005 To: The Parents of Displaced Students A. Archdiocesan Policy Regarding Pre-paid Tuition and Bank Loans I. Prepaid Tuition a. If a student no longer attends the archdiocesan or parochial Catholic school in which he/she was enrolled prior to August 29, 2005, by parental request 90 percent of the tuition shall be refunded to the parent. b. Displaced students who enroll in an archdiocesan/parochial school shall pay a monthly tuition while in attendance. II. Bank Loans a. If a student no longer attends the archdiocesan, religious sponsored, or parochial Catholic school in which he/she was enrolled prior to August 29, 2005, parents must contact the principal to request loan cancellation.
B. Tuition for students attending from community owned and/or archdiocesan schools I. Following a meeting of principals on Tuesday, September 20, 2005, a change in the original plan was made. As per the request of principals and presidents, it is now the policy that each student (family) is responsible for contacting the previous school to secure a refund so that the tuition at St. Charles Catholic can be paid. I am sorry for this change, but this new policy is what St. Charles Catholic and other schools, who will open in the near future, must follow. C. Tuition for all transfer students I. Please be advised that the prorated tuition for St. Charles Catholic will be $4,522.50 for the year. St. Charles Catholic will allow advance monthly payments of $502.50 for each of the nine remaining months (Sept. May). Thus by Friday, October 14, 2005, I am asking that both September and October tuition be paid ($1,005.00). If you paid the $300.00 at registration you owe a payment of $705.00 by October 14, 2005. Payments there after are due on the first of the month beginning with November 1. We understand that many of you may have difficulty contacting your previous school. If this new policy presents a problem please contact Mr. Cupit, St. Charles Catholic will work with you on an individual basis. |
